Another vote for the 65inch LG. Bought the new one about 5 months back and it’s the nuts

1. What is it that you need, rather than want?
2. Who will use it?
3. Where will it go?
4. Work out your budget
5. Add twenty percent
6. Do your research
7. Shop around
8. Talk to your partner
9. Forget about what it is that you want
10. Start all over again in five years time

Thanks SO, but - as you say - "It's all about the money"!

As my mental health is now suffering due to being deprived of a top notch TV do you think the WHO fund will give a grant to upgrade? Surely this is the sort of thing it was intended for?

Although i note that Samsung QLEDs are much cheaper than LG & Sony OLEDs. Get what you pay for?

Knowledgeable gentleman.

Peasant speaking, and my budget does not stretch to OLED or QLED. LG also get very good reviews for their 4K Ultra HDs, anyone any knowledge or experience of the NanoCell Technology versions? Poor man’s OLED?

Re: OLED TVs
Very happy with my LG OLED so another recommendation
Got it earlier this year after a bit of research after a Samsung developed a shadowy stripe on the bottom quarter of the screen.
Tv was 5 or 6 years old and a bit of googling revealed that was quite common.

The lg oleds are better than the qled. Both are great but oled is noticeably better.

Re: OLED TVs
My OLED took a bit of getting used to after my Pioneer plasma as motion can be a bit stuttery going from the best TV ever to scan and hold technology but I am used to it now.

The main advantage over a plasma is that it's a fuck sight bigger (actually it isn't, I had a 50 inch plasma with a big bezel and now have a 65 inch with more or less no bezel and it's only slightly physically bigger but with much more screen size) and it uses less electricity.

My best advice would be to get the biggest screen size you can afford. As someone with a top of the range Qled and also Oled I would say OLED TVs every time.

LG OLED
Beautiful picture. As good as my plasma
No burn in issues, because it's got screen saver

Re: OLED TVs
Oh I forget, it's got one cable going to the TV which includes power, 4 HDMIs and audio

Also it has that picture frame thing, when it's off you can blend it in with the background

Sony af9 oled
Had it two years and its the tits.
Picture quality is great, not had a single issue.
Burn in supposedly a problem but mines on 8 hrs a day and not a pixel out of place or any image burn.

What are you on about? OLEDS come nowhere near QLEDS in terms of brightness.

Fucking hell, a decent OLED can burn your eyes out - how much brighter do you need?

I've got a super ultrawide 42" QLED monitor (I'm on it now) and I have to turn the brightness down to about 45 (out of 100) as it's stupidly bright. It can't do blacks like an OLED though.
